Dr. Abraham Rosenzweig brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Orthopedic Associates of West Jersey from more than 30 years of private practice in orthopedic surgery. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder and total hip and knee replacement surgery.
Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Dr. Rosenzweig graduated from Boston University with a bachelor of arts in biology and earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
Following a year of general surgery internship at UMDNJ Affiliated Hospitals, Dr. Rosenzweig completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Everett J. Gordon Award for outstanding clinical achievements in orthopedic surgery.
After completing his residency in 1981, Dr. Rosenzweig joined Suburban Orthopedic Associates in Broomall, Pennsylvania, where he practiced for four years and co-directed the Haverford Community Hospital Sports Medicine Clinic. He then took advantage of an opportunity to move back to New Jersey, joining Townsquare Orthopedic Associates at his present location. In 1997, the practice changed its name to Orthopedic Associates of West Jersey, where he is the managing partner.
In 2002, Dr. Rosenzweig helped found the Surgical Center of Northwest Jersey (now Denville Surgical Center) and serves as its medical director. He maintains privileges at both the Dover and Denville campuses of Saint Clare’s Health System, where he serves as co-director of the Joint Replacement Committee. He also has privileges at Morristown Medical Center.
