Dr. Steven Stecker is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. He treats shoulder and knee instability, rotator cuff tears, and all manner of sports injuries. Treatments he provides include ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, and joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
In 1993, Dr. Stecker received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at NYU School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1999.
Prior to joining Orthopedic Associates of West Jersey in 2002, Dr. Stecker worked at The Cleveland Clinic Florida in the orthopedic surgery and sports medicine department.
As a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Stecker serves as team physician for a number of professional sports teams, including the Florida Panthers (National Hockey League), Florida Bobcats (Arena Football League), and the Miami Fusion (Major League Soccer). He is also a member of USA Hockey’s National Development Program (since 2004) and serves as team physician at a number of tournaments in Canada and Europe. Dr. Stecker also served as a team physician on the 2018 U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team.
